Mr. Banker, husband of the late Margaret Wilcox Banker, died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 1998. Born Aug. 10, 1906, on Manhattan Island in New York City, he was a son of the late Dr.
Charles Everette Banker and Francena Hanford Banker. Formerly of Pelham Manor, N.Y. and Sarasota, he moved to Columbia, two years ago. Mr. Banker graduated from Williams College, Williamstown, Mass.
He was a retired U.S. Navy commander, and served during World War II. He was director of purchasing for A Karagheusian, and director of Jacob Ruppert and The Associated Merchandising Corporation. He a life member of the Revolution, Kane Lodge, AM New York. He was a member of the Retired Officers' Association, Ivy League Club, and Delta Phi Fraternity.
